Privacy Policy
Blue Primes Software (Pvt) Ltd ("BluePrimes", "we", "our", "us") provides the BluePrimes POS Backup feature inside our desktop POS application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you connect your Google account to upload backups to your Google Drive.
What data we access
When you choose to connect Google Drive, our application requests limited Google Drive permission (drive.file) to:
- Create a folder (e.g., "BPOS Backups") in your Google Drive
- Upload backup ZIP files created by the POS application
We do not request full access to your entire Google Drive.
What we store
- We store Google authorization tokens (access/refresh token) locally on your computer so you don't need to login every time.
- We do not store your Google password.
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
Backup content
Backups may contain your POS database data (such as sales, inventory, customers, invoices). Backups are created locally and uploaded only when you click Backup (or if you enable scheduled backups).
How we use information
We use the information only to:
- Authenticate your Google Drive connection
- Upload backups to your Google Drive
- Show you status/progress messages
Data sharing
We do not share your backups or Google data with anyone. Backups remain in your own Google Drive under your account.
Security
We apply reasonable security measures:
- Tokens are stored locally on the user's device
- Connections to Google APIs use secure HTTPS
Data retention and deletion
- Backups remain in your Google Drive until you delete them.
- You can disconnect Google Drive from within the app, which removes locally stored tokens.
- You can also revoke access anytime from your Google Account security settings.
Children's privacy
Our POS software is intended for business use and is not designed for children under 13.
